Anthony Alfonso is an attorney with a national law firm who focuses on helping real estate developers and investors evaluate, structure, and minimize risk in their transactions. Anthony also assists Chinese companies invest in various types of US assets. Anthony actively works to connect local real estate developers with Chinese equity investors to facilitate development of projects in South Florida. Tony has been designated as a LEED Accredited Professional (LEED AP) by the U.S. Green Building Council, a green building certification program. As a LEED AP, Tony facilitates investment in sustainable and resilient projects through the implementation of creative financing strategies such as PACE (Property Assessed Clean Energy).
Anthony is an active participant in the South Florida community. Anthony serves as General Counsel of the U.S. Green Building Counsel Florida Chapter and is a member of the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors. Anthony has been appointed by the Hollywood City Commission to serve on the City’s “green team” which advises the City on environmental issues. Anthony is also a member of the Urban Land Institute Southeast Florida/Caribbean Chapter where he serves on the Chapter’s mobility committee which is an educational resource assisting our community address transportation issues.
Anthony received his J.D., Magna Cum Laude, from Florida State University and his B.A. in Political Science, Summa Cum Laude, from Florida International University. While in law school, Anthony was a member of the FSU Law Review, where he structured and administered the FSU Law Review web site. Anthony lives in Hollywood, Florida, with his wife Alissa and their three children, Grey, Ash and Goldie.
